Gustav Wiegard MASCHINENFABRIK has become a specialist in manufacturing complete downcoiler and upcoiler mandrels and all related components for hot and cold rolling mills and aluminum mills. Especially for the engineering of reel systems, we use our GW | Manufacturing 4.0 capabilities in conjunction with our CAD-CAM capabilities.

Besides the manufacturing of complete mandrel systems our core competence is the manufacturing of high-end mandrel segments GW | FMS1 made from forged heat resistant steel. Last but not least, we produce a wide range of mandrel spares such as mandrel shafts including bronze built-up welding on the guide plates, expanding cylinders, wedges and operating rods.
